At La Maison buissonnière, we establish operating rules and boundaries that apply to everyone, equally.
Our welcoming staff enforces the rules, supports parents/accompanying adults in their efforts as needed and can be available for discussions. Receiving our visitors does not mean changing them or instructing them to do one thing or another. Similarly, the framework we offer, our approach, and our discussions with children have an impact on mothers, fathers and other accompanying adults, but our role is not to serve as models for their behaviour modification. We simply try to provide visiting adults with welcoming and supportive conditions in which children’s needs can be met and contained.
Moreover, although all of these factors may have inherently educational effects, we are not educators per se.
